We are specialists in the field with a national Podiatry database of both Private Podiatry practices as well as Hospital Podiatry departments Australia wide.
With a locum desk and a permanent desk, we can cater for employment for Podiatrists seeking short and long term placements all over Australia as well as skilled migration for international Podiatrists seeking to come to Australia to work.
Locum Podiatry assignments can be anything from 1 weeks to one year, In regional and remote locations, these often come with entitlements for travel and accommodation benefits as well. Allied Health Employment employes and pays Podiatrists that work for us on such contracts. Contact us about Locum Podiatry work today.
We welcome Podiatry candidates from Australia, New Zealand and International applicants looking for Podiatry jobs in Australia to contact us about employment opportunities.
Candidates from the UK, Ireland, Canada and Sth Africa are welcome to apply.
International Candidates - If your qualifications are not from an Australian or New Zealand University, you will need to undergo a qualification assessment from the Australian Podiatry Council. Contract us at Allied Health Employment to discuss this process.
International Podiatrists looking to come to Australia for work will need a visa. New Zealand Podiatrists can enter Australia and work on their NZ passport. For all other nationalities, you will need a visa.
The most common are:
1. The working holiday visa for those under the age of 31 and from either Belgium, Canada, Republic of Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taiwan and United Kingdom. If you from one of these countries you are eligible for this visa.
2. Sponsored working visa - if you not from one of the above countries or are over the age of 30, then you need an "Employer Sponsor" to provide a visa for you to enter and work in Australia. First, you need to undertake the qualification assessment. When this is completed, contact us and we can try and find a sponsor for you.
Note: This visa ties you to your sponsor, it does not allow you to travel and change employment in Australia on arrival. Most Australian employers will usually require a contract length of around 2 years to offer a visa to international candidates under sponsorship.
As of late 2012, Allied Health Employment has the ability and capacity to sponsor Podiatrists ourselves into employment in Australia. We can provide 457 visas for skilled and experienced Podiatrists looking to commit to a long term employment contract. Contact us for further details.
National Podiatry Registration
The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA is the governing body that regulates registration of Podiatrists in Australia. In order for Podiatrists to practise here, they must be registered with AHPRA. AHPRA hold an online register of practitioners that is public so both patients and potential employers can check that their Podiatrist is registered.
